Hello,
I'm selling my Red Swirl 2000 G&L ASAT Classic. It is in new condition and the red swirl color is now discontinued. 100% stock, low playing time, no fret ware, never been gigged with.
Other features are: faux wood binding on front of body, maple neck, OHSC and case items including hang tags, cerificate of authenticity, allen wrenches, and G&L sticker.
"Pictures upon request".
I'm new to the forum and I'm selling to help finance the purchase of a PSG. Price is $775 shipping included. I will not ship outside the continental USA and will only sell to forum members who may be intrested. If anyone from the NY/NJ/CT/PA areas are intrested I will knock off shipping charges if you can pick up the guitar or meet halfway.

Best Regards,
Ray

Ray,
Welome to the forum. That is a great guitar. I own two G&L ASAT guitars (Lefties), and they are the best guitars I have owned in my 39 years of playing. I hope you are not sorry for selling it, but I understand your passion for wanting a PSG.
Good luck,
Lefty

Ditto.

I was a die-hard Les Paul guy for years, but about five years ago I got a beautiful butterscotch ASAT Classic with a one piece maple neck/fingerboard. What a fantastic instrument. I still get a feeling of satisfaction and appreciation every time I pick it up.

Later I also got an ASAT Special.

Jeff, Lefty,

Hey Guys how's it going? Any G&L Ive ever played (mine or someone else's) have been great instruments. I have had an ASAT Special since 1990 and I bought the Classic because it was such a nice Tele type and also because of the unusual but cool color and binding. Basically this guitar hasn't much seen daylight because I was always afraid to put the first scratch on it so the ASAT Special gets the everyday use. In general ASAT Classics are some of the nicest Tele types you'll find and in this case it should be played and not sit in it's case with the strings loosened up. Hopefully it'll find a good home.

Ray

Nice to hear another player hear and feel what a Leo Fender designed guitar is really about.
I moved out of the Gibson/2X Humbucker camp long ago, and I'll never go back.

Comanche, Asat, S-500, and SB1000 bass.
My four "children".

The G&L ASAT IS a Telecaster made to perfection and who else to improve on the telecaster, but Leo himself. I have a 94 ASAT Special, best sounding Telecaster I ever heard. The beauty of a G&L ASAT is that you never need aftermarket pickups or other items, comes out of the case hot and ready to play.

MINE is the perfect ASAT Classic ( ) - a red sunburst, heavily-figured birds-eye neck, top and bottom binding, and with the B-bender I had Joe Glaser put on for me.

My favourite guitar!

Cairo,
I created that group just so I could post a pic and link it to this ad but for some reason the link didn't work. If any one can help me out with how to post a pic I'd appreciate it.

Gary,
I had this guitar listed on the guitarsbyleo.com marketplace and got hit with scam mails day in and day out so I wound up pulling the ad. Thanks for the tip just the same.
