My rehash of My Mother's Eye's, a song that Wade Ray sang really slow and amazingly Jim Murphy and others played uptempo and made it work. It was used as a theme song for Paycheck's band also by various players, all who played it 100% better than I do here! I keep both feet on the pedals for this one all the time and just leave the foot volume in one place. You can get quite a good change in volume by how you strike and dampen the strings anyway. Thanks again to Mitch, a great picker from Little Cooley, PA for the guitar lick in the middle. That guitar lick is tabbed on my web site in the telecaster section. The second part of the guitar lick was achieved by copying the guitar part to another track, delaying that track by 35 msec and mixing them together. It sounds a bit different than a flanger or delay and thickens the sound up a bit without recording another guitar track. As much as I like my drum machine you can see how lamely I programmed it here. There's a ton of really creative drumming and jumps that this song needs to sound like a real swing tune.

Click here to hear the tabbed solo.
