| Hello Bob, No tab, but I saw them play in Ames in 1970. They opened up for Sly and the Family Stone at the old gym over on the north side of campus. I saw them at the Roof Garden in Arnolds Park one time too! Man, that brought back some good old memories when I saw your post! There I go showing my age again!!! |

Hi Roger
I really think they are the most underrated band in history.
They had everything including a unique blend of rock, country, and bluegrass all their own, to say nothing of great voices and talented musicians including of course the steel guitar.
I only got to hear them once myself, in a bar in Aspen. The lead singer was really out of it that night- just stood their paralyzed, staring at the crowd all night- but we didn't mind- we were having too much fun anyway.
A buddy of mine somehow managed to copy a huge number of their songs onto one CD- it is a treasured possession for me.
My interest in the steel is mainly country rock- Eagles, CCR, etc.
