In case this can be of any use to anyone, I have been working this up with my band and thought I'd share the tab. We are actually using clarinet on the lower guitar part.
The steel tab goes with the upper staff of musical notation, The lower line is for the other "guitar" (or whatever instrument you have that can play it). I have tabbed out a third harmony part for our guitarist, loosely following the harmonization of Three Guitar Special, which Wills did on one of the Tiffany Transcriptions that have recently been released.

Michael,
we are aiming for mm=100, just slightly under the Wills recording. I'm not quite there yet. Keeping the flow going through bars 7-10 is still murder; I might need to work out some different right hand fingering there. I also have made a few alterations since I tabbed this, but I'm not sure yet they are actually improvements.
Michael, Durham is about to get a whole lot less hectic: the students leave after next week(!) We lived in Dover our first year here and I wish we could have stayed, but the housing market pushed us over this way.

Ah yes, Mr. Stelter!
I'll have to let the cat out of the bag(!) Bruce is playing that third part I mentioned (which I'll post later today when I'm at my own computer.) Bruce is such a backbone of the band on his old Gibson that we probably don't give him enough chances to come out and play: we're afraid we'd fallto pieces without him back there. Dynamite singer too, as you guys must know. Cartwright, were you the steeler in the Pintetones?

| Tell Mr. Stelter when he comes out here to visit his folks he can come sit in with my band and we'll make it the Triplet Guitar Special. The only problem with having Bruce in the band is that he gets all the girls. What a crooner!!! We all miss the hell out of him. |

I'm gonna forward to whole thread to him. Hope his wife Heather doesn't see the part about all the girls. Maybe that's why we never play out (Bruce knows he's so irresistible he's dangerous!)

Bruce is a great guitar player, a superb vocalist, a pretty darn good pedal steel player, but first and foremost he's a solid musician. As long as you've got Bruce, the band will be solidly "in the pocket". I miss playnig with him.

| I borrowed a pedal steel from Bruce once. I have no idea what it was but I think the whole thing was made of cast iron. We used to call it the tuna boat or something. I wonder if he still has it. |

| He had a little semi-pro s-10 Rus-ler. The finish was what I'd call "Rusty Jone", as in grey rustproofing. Very odd but it actually sounded pretty good. I sold it for him when I got him the Deckley. He used to play a great version of "On the Alamo", on E9 no less. |
