The one thing I look for in listening to steel is good sounding dischords, many times involving unision sounds with a third string and 2 or 3 string chords that make a listener sit up and as, "Did he do that intentionally?".
There are other sounds that don't involve dischord but sound very much different and far removed from a normal sound.
Do you have a favorite "different something"?
If you do, pls address where it would be used. Tab, all too often, is almost useless if the context isn't explained.
