Anyone have an E9 tab for the intro on this ? I can make it sound close, but it seems to me like I am missing something over the iii chord....Thanks...James

Try this
...D............F#-...........G..........

1---------5----|-------------|-----------
2--------------|-------------|-----------
3--------------|-------------|-----------
4--5--------5--|-------------|-----------
5--5~~5A-------|-5~~5A--3A~3-|----3----3-
6--------------|-5-----------|-3~~~--3---
7--------------|-------------|-----------
8--------------|-5-----------|-3~~~------
9--------------|-------------|-----------
10-------------|-------------|-----------

...A7

1------------------
2------------------
3------------------
4------------------
5------------------
6--3~~3LL~~~~------
7------------------
8-----------3------
9------------------
10----------3~~3L-- Repeat

L means half tone lower
LL means whole tone lower

The last two notes aren't really in that intro... I just thought it was kinda cool.

The other thing that's essential in the steel part in this tune, imho, is the beautiful swoop from the V chord to the IV, using a major seventh chord for the IV, after the words "just what I've got on" and before "When that sun is high in the Texas sky"...

1--------------
2--------------
3--------------
4--5~~~~15L----
5--5~~~~15-----
6--5~~~~15-----
7--------------
8--------------
9--------------
10-------------

Weldon Myrick on the original studio cut, I think ?

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your time to assist me with this tune. I really love the tune and I do it on Tele, but thats no where near as nice as a fiddle or steel doing it...Thanks again....James
