anyone have or know of a good source for PSG tabs for 'You Ain't Going Nowhere', 'Drug Store Truck Driving Man' and 'Honky Tonk Downstairs'? 'Still Feeling Blue'? Hot Buritto No. 1' and the like?

who are FBBros, Bryds, Poco fans? I dis-banded my R&R group in about '72 to start playing this stuff. Rockin' Horse was among the first, if not the first in the deep SE to do 'Cosmic American Music'. Later used group names SageBrush, South Cactus and Cosmic Cowboys (from 1972 to about 1999. Gram didn't like the phase 'Country Rock' but it did stick. 'Cosmic American' was alittle too heavy at the time. I myself struggled with what genre 'The Band' was. i among others later called it 'Americana' which is a perfect descriptive word for that type of music. strange, later i found out that my first sucessful rock band Critical Mass was prperly called a 'Garage Band' by todays labels. yep we practiced in a garage as most of us did.

BTW: i live in Statesboro GA about 80 miles from Waycross, GA. where Gram was raised (most of his young life).

anyways . . .

PEACE,
Billy

Billy, you might want to check out Forumite Mike Headrick's CD "Steels on Wheels". It has 15 songs by Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman, all tastefully done. Mike is in the process of printing the tab out for these too. b0b has this in his catlogue for sale here on The Forum. Here are the tunes:

Devil In Disguise
Hickory Wind
One Step Forward
Juanita
Glass Hearts
Brass Buttons
Desert Rose
Sin City
One Hundred Years From Now
Hot Burrito #1
Summer Wind
Wheels
I Still Believe In You Now
Hot Burrito #2
Start All Over Again I can't wait for th tab! steve t

Hi Billy,

I'll have a go at "Still Feeling Blue." "Hot Burrito #1" might be a bit dicey because of Kleinow's unusual copedant.

Don't have a line on tab for these, but oh my, Devil in Disguise and Sin City.. man I wore that lp out... not to mention the first 3 Poco records.... really great stuff.... thanks to Pete and Rusty (partial to Jim Messina too!). Good luck in your quest, it is an honorable one. (:>)>=[

yep. there are quite a few but not many of us Cosmic American Music freaks out there!

As i enjoy saying, "Cosmic American Music surverely influenced me!".

Other than The Beatles and Stones; Gram Parsons, FBB, Byrds, POCO, N Young and PPL. Also Eagles, B. Springfield, Spoonful, R. Cooter, Hank Sr, NG Dirt Band, The Band and . . .

Pray for Rock & Roll.
