Hi all,

I've posted a couple of Bobby Black tabs on my website. Both clips are from Commander Cody's We've Got a Live One Here, (1976). When you click on each link below you should be taken to a page with both tab and standard notation. Click anywhere on the page and an audio clip should play. Hope this works! If not please let me know and I'll try to get it right (first time I've tried this)

Solo from "Eighteen Wheels" (Norton Buffalo)
I am open to suggestions for bars 5-7: this is my best guess.

Intro to "Down to Seeds and Stems Again" (George Frayne and Billy C. Farlow)
The intro and solo from the 1972 live version of this are available at the Dick's Licks page.

Thanks for sharing this!

This is really nice-looking tab. What program did you use to create it ?

Thanks John,

I did it in Sibelius, a standard music notation program that also has (a very feeble) pedal steel tab function. I've been in touch with the help people there about improving the steel tab.

I tabbed some Bobby Black stuff for Rebel's site. See 7972 and 1973.

Bob: the standard tab should be right below the traditional musical notation. The mp3 should play if you click anywhere on the music. Let me know if you still can;t see it and I'll send them to you as attachments.

Fred: yes, I have been making great use of those tabs. Thanks! I have boiled down the tabs seen here down to just standard tab, but haven't had a chance to play through them and make sure they are right. When I do I'll send the them to Ricky and Rebel too.

Wish there were more of Bobby Black's stuff up; he did some beautiful work with Commander Cody.
