This is about the prettiest tune i have heard in years. Great PSG solo part too.
Anyone had a go at this one yet?

I just finished this piece last week but no tab. I believe he does a forward bar slant which really adds some nice voicing to his break. |

What is a "forward bar slant", if you don't mind explaining. Like on a dobro?
Thanks

I define a forward slant as raising a note one half or one whole step. On this tune, the bar is at fret 8 with the tip of the bar on string 2 slanting to fret 9. Maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong. |

I see. thanks. like a dobro, then
Hmmmmmm...let me see.
Now , in addition to playing with levers on left foot, volume pedal with right foot, levers on knees, sliding and vibrating the bar, finger picking, blocking the strings with palm and fingers, learning a million chord permutations, and tuning the whole thing to just tuning, i now have to learn to tilt the bar, too.
Heeeelp!!!!!
What else have i forgotten to list about the steel?

I agree that this is one of the nicest unison steel breaks I've ever heard. Thanks Lloyd! Does anyone have an idea how to play it and save the rest of us a ton of work? Ha! Ha!. Seriously, there are so many ways to get the unison sound, how do you think he does it? [This message was edited by Garry Vanderlinde on 07 February 2004 at 01:55 PM.] |

I don't think that was Paul on this one. It was the great Lloyd Green. |
