Spanish Eyes

Could anyone help me get thru this song, especially the part that goes "tear-drops are falling from your spanish eyes." I just can not make that 7th chord (over the eyes) sound right with the rest of it.
I use the standard BE setup on E9th.

Thanks David, you provided a heck of a lot of information. I have some old sheet music (which I don't read) and the name of the song is "Spanish Eyes", however, the words start out with "Blue Spanish Eyes". Anyway, it is what I was looking for. Thanks again.
