Hope this isn't a dumb question.
Trying to help a friend record this song for fun, and I can not find this chord to save me.
On the lines 'As long as women sit and talk about the weather, as long as old men, sit and talk about old men' What is that chord on 'as long' ? He makes it sound easy..
Any help much appreciated. Hope this is in the right section on the forum.

Tom,
I stand to be corrected, but from memory it sounds like a 2 or 2-7th to me.

I'm not too sure here but, after noodlin' with this for a few minutes, I think it is the root cord.
(read this as: Whatever the key signature is.)
At least, it works for me that way. |

Thanks for the help everyone. Very much appreciated.
I was playing with a 2 chord, but it sounded like there was an unresolved note ringing there besides. First string? I was playing major, not 7th - will try that and see how it sounds. He has incredible tone and technique imho...
Thanks again,
Tom

Feel free to use a 9th chord.... that's the melody note.
