Can somebody help me with a lick that JayDee played on the Bakersfield Bound CD? It is in the song It's Not Love (But It's Not Bad). It is in the first chorus and the lick starts when Chris sings "...but it keeps love from driving me mad." The lick actually starts on the word "mad". I know the meat of the lick but it sounds like there is a high drone note through the lick. I don't know how to play the lick and still keep the drone note.
Any Help would be appreciated....
Thankd,

Ernest,
Thanks a lot, that is it! I was starting the lick on the 9th string, 12th fret. Same bottom notes, just couldn't get the top note. It's funny how something can elude you like that. The answer was just two frets and one string away. Thanks for your response to my question.
