In June 99, Ricky Davis tabbed the fiddle lead part out for steel. It's a harmony part but it follows the same melody as the fiddle. You should be able to figure out the whole song just from this tab. Do a search in Share A Lick under "faron". It'll bring up Wine ME Up in E9th. Larry

Actually, Conway had a version of this song out also. In my opinion, the better version. This song is what really convinced me that I wanted to play steel. So, I guess I can blame John Hughey for this obsession. Thanks John, luv ya man!!!

Here is the harmony part that plays with the fiddle;
as long as the fiddler knows his part. If not; it works well anyways.

You will notice the six string octive added to several phrases;
that makes for a fuller sound and always makes the ole 3&5 sound larger.

Hi guys !

First of all : Thanks for your postings !

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to respond earlier, but my wife and I were expecting twins, and these two youngsters decided to arrive yesterday (31/03) - 7 weeks early, so I've been quite busy !!!

Fortunately, both mother and the 2 babies are doing just fine (and so is the proud father, if anybody cares), and I guess that I'll be back steelin a few years from now - don't worry !!

Best
