Would love to have you advice. I'm trying to get started on a dream I've had for many years and that is to play the steel guitar. Ultimantly I want to wind up with a Derby s 10 but money is an issue. So while I'm saving money I'm hoping to find a used guitar to use while taking lessons. Would I be better off to get a student version sho bud or some equivelant OR get an older double neck, if I can find one at a good price? Also any leads on a volume pedal and bar or any other advice greatly appreciated.

Rick, I think I would ask my teacher that question. Also, you might contact Billy Cooper, He sells new and used steels and has a good inventory. He can also hook you up with a bar, picks, volume pedal, and amp. Billy is also a Teacher as well as a great player.
