Here is an ending in C. You hammer on the fret right after each open string note. This is played in triplets

1.____________________________________|
2.____0_______________________________|
3._0_3____0___________________________|
4._____0_2____0_______________________|
5._________0_1____0___________________|
6._____________0_2____0_______________|
7._________________0_3____0___________|
8._____________________0_2____0_______|
9._________________________0_3____0___|
10.____________________________0_4__0_|

Start this off slow with first note starting on the one beat. Play four beats per three measures and last note ending on the one beat/third measure. As you get this lick under your fingers; increase the time on the metronome progressively and it is pretty cool when done quick. Hope you enjoy the finger workout.

Yea Randy; Herbie has some great stuff and you will never go wrong with his instruction. I would also suggest Buddy Emmons basic C6 course; he is also a master of explaination and instuction and meaningful stuff to use.

Randy;
Here's a link to Buddy's course: Basic C6
There is also some cool C6 licks, (as well as E9 licks), on the Tab From Buddy page.
Good luck with C6, it can really be a mind full.
My best,

Been there, done it, got the course! (From Tom Bradshaw)

I was more looking for the old steel sound, Jerry Byrd, Don Helms.

Randy;
Buddy's "Basic C6" course has "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" in it. Not exactly how Don Helms did it, but it's there none the less.
Didn't mean to trip your trigger.

Yes, it does have it ... I haverecommended the course to others as well, I like the way he compared C6th to E9th, to draw similarities. However, there has to be other licks out there

Randy;
Check out Scotty's Anthology books. I seem to remember that there are a few "vintage" type licks in them. Also, there is a few in Winnie Winston's book, Pedal Steel Guitar.
Perhaps, somebody could contact Don Helms about putting out a course of Hank licks and solos. I'm sure it'd be a winner.
