Chris;I had the same problem with a black Widow 15 inch. speaker. Only rattled when I hit that Boo-Wah pedal on the low B on my universal Dekley. Tuned out that there was a piece of metal filament on the Voice Coil. Never rattled when I played my Marlen single neck E-9th. Guess The notes did'nt go down low enough to initiate that reaction.To check voice coil; remove speaker basket carefully ,then take clear packing tape 2 or 3 inch, fold over itself with sticky side on th outside. Run tape slowly over coil to pick any metal filaments that might be there. Worked for me.
