Andy, I noticed in my latest Musician's Friend cataloge that they are now selling a Gretch lap steel new. It's about $350.00. You can check them online.

I have a very nice old fender lap six string. It is near mint as is the case.I am in Michigan at the moment . When I get back to Florida about the 18th I will e-mail you a picture and the details.
