This recently appeared on YouTube, and features some great old sounds from the golden age of country music.
Enjoy! Very Happy

Earl Scruggs killing "Flint Hill Special" at about 1:30:00. Makes me appreciates Buddy's adaptation even more. And who's the reso player?

Donny, Interesting having so many stars from the past on one video. Reminds me of when am radio was playing in my 57. Ralph's haircut really stood out. Was going to cut my hair today but think I might wait a few more days. Also was Interesting that all of Hanks band seemed to be left handed. Still enjoyed the video, will play it again. Thanks for sharing it.

Frank, that is Josh Graves playing resonator guitar for Flatt and Scruggs. He was one of the all-time greats on the instrument.
Lester called Josh's guitar "hound dog" for some reason. I've heard him introduce a song by saying, "Now we're going feature Uncle Josh on the old hound dog....".

Josh used to start his solos sometimes with a rake across the strings that made a “rruff” kind of a sound - like a dog growl. I think that’s why. Every steel player should know who Josh Graves was, so thanks for your post.
