| I have two 80X amps and like them a lot for steel. Great sound, plenty loud, versatile, rugged, reliable, doesn't take up much room on stage or in the car trunk. Good for standard guitar as well. |

I have two of them, they work well for steel and guitar both (and also mandolin in this case). Here's my rig I used with the 80X, I didn't use the internal effects and I sent a signal to the house system from the preamp output jack through a Countryman direct box. This was in a church and the stage was a little cramped.

A few years back I bought a 60XL Bass model (as a bass amp, the 80 having been discontinued) and discovered that it has all the virtues listed above.
But it appears that that's gone too, and all they are making is portable amps for buskers. Am I right or searching for the wrong thing?

| I used to have one, the next smallest model with four 4" speakers if I remember correctly. Sounded really big and well-balanced, of course not giggable but certainly good enough for practicing as long as you don't play 12-strihg C6... Tiny footprint, weighed almost nothing. |
