Smith was a steel player around Alcorn and Tishomingo county. Dont think he ever played for any groups but he was a nice guy. I am sharing his obituary below.
Smith Benjamin Obituary
Smith Lee Benjamin, 90, of Corinth, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Dogwood Assisted Living Center in Corinth. Mr. Benjamin was born September 22, 1934 to the late Fred and Ruby Stacy Benjamin.

Mr. Benjamin is preceded into death by his parents; brothers, Howard, Olivere, Joe, Ed, and Ira Benjamin; sisters, Hauntense Benjamin Edge and Mollie Benjamin Forsythe.

Mr. Benjamin is survived by a son, Larry Benjamin (Janet); granddaughter, Katie Benjamin Steed (Ryan); grandson, Johnson Lee Benjamin (Cassandra); great granddaughter due in April 2025; brother, Jerry Benjamin (Martha Sharon); sisters Nellie Benjamin Wren and Grace Gunther (Grady); as well as a host of extended family and friends.

There is a Celebration of Life Memorial Service scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Rienzi Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Rienzi, beginning at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Alzheimer's Association Mississippi Chapter. The family has entrusted the care or the arrangements to the staff of Memorial Funeral Home in Corinth.
