Hi Folks,
Just wanted to thank Jimmie Hudson for the cabinet w/endplates he sold me last Summer.
They worked out just fine, and when the lacquer hit the cabinet, the tiger striped maple jumped out at me...
Just got this project wrapped up, using a Sho~Bud Professional changer, neck, headstock, L705 pickup, ZB Fretboard, Sho~Bud pedals on a ZB pedal rack, with a few various Bentley (Yes, Bentley!) undercarriage parts and a Sho~Bud knee lever setup. Oh, and a set of legs from Jeff Suratt at Show Pro.
She sounds pretty nice, it was a fun project.
3 pedals and 2 knee levers for now.

Looks very nice. Are the two knees E raise/lower? If I had only two I’d consider lowering 8 and raising 4 like Mooney did, and then do something like 2&9 lower with the other. On separate knees preferably. _________________ KEVIN MAUL: Airline, Beard, Clinesmith, Danelectro, Evans, Fender, GFI, Gibson, Hilton, Ibanez, Justice, K+K, Live Strings, MOYO, National, Oahu, Peterson, Quilter, Rickenbacher, Sho~Bud, Supro, TC, Ultimate, VHT, Williams, X-otic, Yamaha, ZKing. |

Thanks for the kind words, Will, Kevin, and K Maul.
The knee's lower the E's (LKR), and (RKL) lowers 2 a whole tone, with a 1/2 stop as string 9 engages to a 1/2 step lower, and also raises string 7 to a G.
I would like an F lever, but need to get the parts together!
Merry Christmas Folks! |

Thanks Ron and Joe Bill, this guitar is really surprising me.
It's been a lot of fun tinkering with it to get it dialed in, at this point the tuning stays spot on.
I put a metal brace like an Emmons across the center of the cabinet and it really made a difference and works great to attach a 1/2 stop to.
Happy New Year! |
