Hey folks!
I’m looking for a D10 and my budget is $2,600, shipping included. I’ve been searching through Marketplace, Craigslist, and Reverb for months but can’t seem to find anything under $3k. I’m currently playing a BMI S10, and I love it, but I want to learn C6 very badly  I would be willing to drive 8-9 hours from Durham, NC if need be…

My advice, take it or leave it, is to do a road-trip to Nashville and check out that Remington Damir has listed for $2650. Yeah, Nashville is a bit of a haul from Durham - and check the status on I-40 through the mountains first - but that seems like a good option for you, and it's always good to be able to check a steel out before putting money down. Pictures are nice, but I've found steels often look better in pictures than in real life.

The Sho-Bud of Paul Wade also sounds like a good deal - most cheap D-10's are 8x4. Getting 5 or 6 levers is great at that price these days. Ask him for pics and details maybe?

If I were you Pierce, I'd jump on this MCI that Larry is offering. These are great guitars, even the first edition. Get it before some flipper gets hold of it and tries to sell it for twice that.
Hopefully Larry will hang on to it until you at least have a chance to respond. |
