Pretty silly, specific question.....but this place will know, if anyone does!
GFI Ultra S-10, 2010 (I believe). The nut for the bolt that holds the pedal on seems to have disappeared somewhere. Anyone happen to know what size it is? None of the 5,000,000 I have floating around the house seem to fit.
Below are: What I'm missing.....what the bolt looks like.....and what it's attached to.
Thanks!

I have not worked with GFI, (someone who owns/had one would know) but at a glance it appears to be 10-24, or 10-32. A reliable thing to do is check with GFI, or remove it and take it to the hardware store. They'll match it there, plus you'll be able to get a matching nut.

Thanks, Pat!
Any other ideas before I hit the hardware store? |

If it was me, I would take a nut off one of the other pedals and head to an Ace Hardware, as I find them the most helpful. I would also take the screw. I would get a couple extra of each for spares.
You could also reach out to GFI. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

Do you have a just built GFI steel or a very low serial number guitar?
I just checked my setup GFI keyless Ultra S12 SN 1042 pedals. It has a complete different setup on the rod connector.
I went and pulled out my cased GFI keyed head Ultra S12 SN 1163. It has the same pedals as the keyless.
Both guitars, Looking down on the pedal, Have the screw head on right side of the pedal board, The screw is threaded into the nylon grooved sleeve on the left side of the the pedal. No nut included in the attachment.
As suggested previously take the bolt with you, For proper fitting nut.
Sorry I could not help you. |

The screws on mine (2007 Ultra S-10) are 8-32. The originals were 8-32 x 1-1/8" stainless pan-head. One of them broke, so I replaced them all with stronger (alloy steel) ones. The new ones are a little longer, 1-1/4", so I put nylock nuts on the exposed tips, which were a bit sharp.
Later I mentioned the broken screw to Bob at GFI, and he said he had already switched to alloy screws. This was in 2017. Of course he offered to send me a replacement, but there was no need.
I've always found GFI support to be excellent.

Bobby, my S-10 is #1479, built in 2007, and Jim says his is from 2010. Since your guitars have lower serial numbers than mine, perhaps they use an earlier method? |

Thanks Bruce, My guitars are older with a different set up on the pedal rod connectors.
With the Machine screws and looks like Nyloc nuts. That setup will last many years, With no problems. |
