I always enjoy breaking this one out every few years. I would say this was my gateway drug to steel guitar. While I really enjoyed David Lindley’s style of playing and consider that a big influence on me, hearing this one sent me over the top. Gabby, even with a sparse amount of steel guitar recordings, is one of my favorite players ever.
This is just a short clip of one chorus.

Agreed. Wish there were more of Gabby's steel guitar recordings available. Plus, the tab for Chloe by Mike Neer is undeniably excellent. Bigly recommended! |

Always great to hear Gabby Pahinui - style playing, especially from a master such as yourself, Mike. Thanks for sharing! _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

So good, Mike! I bought your excellent tab for this song and it's one of my favorites to play. I wish Gabby played more lap steel on his recordings. |
