There is a local SD-10 Stadler Universal for sale. I can't find much about that specific model and thought I'd ask here.
It's an E9 Emmons setups according to the seller, I've not seen it in person, but based on the pics it looks to be in decent condition.
This would be my first pedal steel, I've been playing lap steel but want to start learning pedal steel.
What price range would these be in? The current price is $2900 with a Peavy amp and a volume pedal, however he'll sell the steel separately.

Thanks!

Dan; any pictures top/front/underneath would do a TON as that info would help. Leonard Stadler built D-10 and S-10 and Universal 12-string...but not a SD-10 Universal Marlen. So that description you gave/got makes me worry of authenticity. I know the Marlen pedal steel very well; but they were such a custom made pedal steel; so many variations with each model; I need to see pic and serial number if you have pic underneath to see it.

Okay thanks for posting those pictures makes a little more sense, that's a later model Marlen that probably Leonard Stadler came up with after him and Marvin were no longer together Marvin stood for MAR and

in Marlen and LEN stood for Leonard in Marlen, they were the starters of the Marlen they weren't always together looks like it's a later model that Leonard built probably in the 90s probably 10 years before he passed away. Stadler Universal probably a model that he came up with himself but Marlen on the front was still the name of the company

it'll be a very good pedal steel guitar and I'd say it certainly is worth probably no more than 2,500.
