Hughey was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 1996. His Hall of Fame plaque refers to him as the master of "bar shiver."

This special episode rebroadcasts Thursday (11am-Noon CT) on SteelRadio https://www.steelradio.org/

*Pushin' Pedals also airs at 11pm CT Sunday nights and Mondays at 3 pm CT.
