Charlie Nagatani put on the Country Gold festival for a bunch of years in Kumamoto, southern Japan.
He's had many top country artists. Click on the year to see the artists: https://judysealeinternational.com/country-gold-kumamoto-japan-2/

I was on Charlie's 1999 Country Gold, playing steel with Wylie and the Wild West. Other artists included the group Perfect Stranger and Connie Smith.
The organization of Country Gold was first class. The total trip lasted 8 days. The country gold festival involved two days, the first day was sound check at the venue and the other day was the actual concert. For remaining 6 days, we were taken on tours around the area of Kumamoto, including tourist locations and the area's volcano. Everyone was transported with buses and several dinners were provided at the very best restaurants.
Each of us were also assigned an interpreter, which was very good, not only for the language, but the interpreter was very knowledgeable in the customs and history of the area.
All in all, it was absolutely wonderful!
