Hey guys, I’m flying to Europe Sunday to perform for 3 weeks. I just landed in Phoenix for rehearsal and my E string rods somehow snapped in the case. I have no clue how this happened. I don’t think I have the time to buy new rods anywhere. I was wondering if I can go someplace to get them rethreaded? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!
Anthony

Contact Ron Anderson at Justice Guitars, he is in Mesa I believe. He should be able to help you out.

In case Ron in Mesa is not available. Or, last gasp, try your sound company contact for the tour.

On some guitars when when the guitar is put in the case, And the knee levers are folded the rod will come out of the the end of the guitar.
Red Neck Giver solutions.
Go to a hardware store. Buy the longest bolt with proper size threads they have. If you can find a bolt long enough to clear the changer. Cut the head off the bolt, Silver solder, or braze bolt to the rod side by side at proper length. I suggest at least 3/4" side by side overlap to silver solder or braze.

Just cut head off bolt, Bend a U in the bolt, And U in rod the rod to to make rod proper length. Give it a couple wraps of duck tape. Tune it and pick it.

Reminds me of when Mr. Stickley would come through the door at the machine shop I worked. His hand full of a bunch of broken parts. I am running asphalt, Trucks backed up on site. Fix this quick.

Thank you all for helping me out! I ended up emailing the guys at Emmons that told me what to do. Went to a welding store and bought 1:8 rods. Then went to harbor freight and got a cut and tie kit and threaded them.

I got a new custom case and I think a rod was sticking out at the end when I put it in and it snapped it off. Got it all fixed and should be good for Europe!
Thanks guys for helping me out!
