Beard Deco Phonic 27 built in Beard's Maryland shop, purchased new in December 2020. This model is based on the sound and look of the original Dobros from the 1930s. Features a traditional R-body shape. Has a distinctively sweet tone but can twang as well. Good acoustic volume.
Comes with a Fishman Nashville pickup installed at Beard and a TKL hard case. Has a couple of dings here and there, especially on the of back edge of the neck, I've taken pics that highlight these. One small ding on the back doesn't show up in this light in the picture of the full back; I'll add a closer pic of that ding today, but overall the finish and metal hardware are in excellent condition. Fishman pickup is well balanced and works perfectly.
This model is discontinued; possibly because it was too similar to the Deco Phonic 37 model? I don't really no why.
