I’m logging players to my record collection / music database…yes I know it sounds crazy, and it probably is. There’s a lot of mis-spellings out there, the most common being Henry Strzelecki 😊😊. I have three steel players listet by the name of Mike Daly/Daily or Dailey - I suppose it’s the same guy (Ace in the Hole Band), but which spelling is correct..? |

Mike Daly plays steel with Hank Williams Jr., and Mike Daily plays steel with George Strait. Mike Daly, who plays steel with Hank Williams Jr was playing steel in a band called the Gibson Miller Band before working with Hank Williams Jr. Mike Daily, who plays steel with George Strait was part of the Ace In The Hole Band, who hired George Strait. Mike Daly, who plays steel with Hank Williams Jr also played steel with Travis Tritt in Travis's Country Club Band for a few years after steel guitarist Steve Sturm left the Country Club Band. Steve Sturm had been Travis's steel player from 1996 until about 2011 or 2012, when Mike Daly would join Travis and his Country Club Band.

Mike Daly also recorded with Deadly Earnest and the honky tonk heroes, great steel playing. |
