On the off chance that someone here might have a treble-side set of 3-on-a-plate tuners for a slotted headstock mid-30's National/Rickenbacher guitar. The last bent shaft finally snapped on mine, and I'm on the search for a replacement or perhaps a way to fix the originals. Here are a couple of snaps. Rare as hen's teeth, apparently!
FYI - StewMac Golden Age tuners are great, and the guitar is currently fitted with one side of these, but I'd like to see if anyone has this particular part sitting around in a parts drawer somewhere. Happy to pay handsomely for it, too.
Thanks very much.

Thanks, Brad, that's the first place I went - I taught there for like 15 (?) years (yikes) and it's one of the best repair departments on the planet. I wish my dear friend Frank Ford were still around, he fixed so many things for me over the years, in his own inimitable way, including several tuning machines from the 30s/40s.
I'll definitely keep looking and asking; I'm also motivated to learn more about repairing the old one, too. Any help always appreciated from folks here on the SGF.
Hope you're well, Brad.

Larry...Check with Jim Dulfer. He has quite an array of original tuners...He currently has a post about single tuners on Amps and Accessories if you want to contact him. _________________ https://www.reverbnation.com/bigredandtheresonators |

Thanks, Chris - Jim is sending me some parts to potentially repair the original tuners, was just in touch with him yesterday. Really impressive knowledge of these old tuning machines and super-helpful and generous with his time, too. (:
Replacing the gear looks like the least intrusive most "easily" done repair. Will report back, and still looking for an original working side, too.
Best,
