Since I got my Jackson Blackjack Custom pedal steel guitar back out in April, I've found it even more exciting to play-not only because of the steel itself, but also because of my new Ezzee-Slide tone bar, built by Basil Henriques in England. I first used an Ezzee bar when I visited Emmons Guitar Company in 2023, and decided it would work best for me since I have cerebral palsy. On April 6th of this year, I was spending time in my house and went into the den of my house, and my steel was sitting there and I'd just gotten my Ezzee bar and wanted to try it out, so I got behind my steel, put the bar down on the strings and turned on Prime Country, a country music station on satellite radio that plays 80s/90s country, and they played "Livin' On Love" by Alan Jackson, featuring Paul Franklin on steel, "Just To See You Smile" by Tim McGraw, featuring Sonny Garrish on steel-I wasn't sure how I was gonna play the intro, and "If The World Had A Front Porch" by Tracy Lawrence, also featuring Sonny, but I found out my Jackson Steel is so fun to play with my Ezzee Slide bar because the bar doesn't slide out of my left hand. Lately, I've been playing songs by bands like McBride & The Ride and Ricochet. I love playing my Jackson Steel more and the steel itself now more since I've got the right bar! |
