I've finally decided to part with it! I bought this 1969 Tele from Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center in my senior year of high school 1970. This guitar has quite a bit of sentimental value to me, but I could use the funds more. Guitar has been painted a number of years ago by a fellow band member who was a paint professional, I'm thinking he used automotive grade paint (probably lacquer, but he has passed on, so I can't verify that. Guitar was originally blonde. Body and neck are verified original and neck is stamped as built in March 1969; serial no. is 237926. Maple neck has been re-fretted one time, because I had played it so much I literally wore out several frets. Work was performed by a local luthier and fiddle maker. Guitar plays great with low action. Both pickups have been replaced with Dimarzio "Twang King" series pickups due to bridge pickup having always had a noticeable ground hum from the factory. Hum is now gone since Dimarzio pickups installed. I still have original pickups and will of course include those should someone desire to get them rewound. Guitar has original Fender-Bigsby style Vibrato tailpiece with pronounced logo "F" marked to denote Fender factory supplied part. Guitar also has a new Fender OEM replacement bridge which was standard on Teles with the Vibrato tailpiece. Original bridge will be included for new owner. Guitar is not necessarily a museum item, but should still possess quite a collectable value due to its age and overall fair to good condition and playability. Will be shipped in lockable Hard shell case typical of style used in that time period. NO TRADES on this one. Seller will accept PAYPAL friends and family or certified check. Seller will ship appropriately packed and insured in guitar box. Priced to Sell at $3595.00 plus $100.00 shipping charges in continental U.S.
