Hi friends,
I just bought a Dual 6 Lap Steel from Switzerland on Reverb. This is my first dual. I have only been playing Lap Steel for about a year but played slide a long time. I am in a Pink Floyd Tribute band. The switch does NOT switch between the two Lap steels. So in essence, I cannot engage the LS that is further away from me. I live on Long Island, just outside on New York City. Does anyone know where I can get it repaired? It is a beautiful unit and well intonated. I really don't want to send it back.

Any electronic repair shop could determine what your problem is . Bad switch ? Loose connection? Pickup coil is open , perhaps. Good luck.

If you can make it up to the Peekskill area I will help you get it working properly, PM me for address, etc.

I'm thinking that the neck selector switch is the same three-way blade switch that is found in a Telecaster or Stratocaster. Which should be easy to repair or replace.
