I received an older H9 Max as a gift. No idea how to use it or adjust parameters for it. are there any pedal steel settings that i can upload to it anywhere? im hoping it can replace some pedals with it. I do like the spring reverb and black hole sounds on it, but no idea how to tweak it for PSG. Thanks!

Karen,
Cograts ! Those things are awesome. Download the control app and then link via bluetooth. Pairing is easy but you need to know the default password.

The default password is the last 4 digits of the serial number written underneath the unit.

Find a preset you like and then modify it to your taste/then name and save it. Simple as that.

They don't do multiple FX usually. So you just find a verb or delay that works. There might be some upgrade that does both but I'm not familiar with it if there is.

I use the plate reverb quite a bit and also the tape delay. The tremolo with the tap tempo comes in handy too. I only use it for one effect at a time.

The app is very straight forward and you can save your preset to the unit so there is no need for it when you are playing.

Karen,

Also depending on who gave it to you, it might need to be de-registered in order for you to link it to the app.

Karen, the H9 in my opinion is one of the very best pedals for psg. Standout algorithms are digital delay, mod delay , rotary ( whirling dervish is my fave), and micro pitch. The app is a must to control the thing. Nice gift!

I put the H9 in the back of my amp inserted into the effects loop. It is then easily controlled by my phone and one less thing to hook and unhook. The phone app is intuitive and gives you the best view of all the effects.

Save the presets you use to the first few spots (Preset 1 Preset 2 Preset 3.... )and also name them. Then turning the wheel is fast and easy.

I wish I was a high tech guy but apps and operating effects with my phone are a bit above my pay grade. Never too late for the old dog & new trick so maybe 👍
