I’m logging players to my record collection / music database…yes I know it sounds crazy, and it probably is. There’s a lot of mis-spellings out there, the most common being Henry Strzelecki 😊😊. I have three steel players listet by the name of Mike Daly/Daily or Dailey - I suppose it’s the same guy (Ace in the Hole Band), but which spelling is correct..? |

No, not the same guy. There are 2 steelers that I know of with the same name but different spelling.
Mike Daly of Nashville fame played and recorded with several artists.
Mike Daily of George Strait's Ace in the Hole Band.
Don't know of the Dailey spelling. |

Mike Daly plays steel with Hank Williams Jr, and Mike Daily plays steel with George Strait. Mike Daly, who plays steel with Hank Jr. has also played steel with the Gibson Miller Band and Travis Tritt(Daly came into the Country Club Band after steel guitarist Steve Sturm left). Mike Daly plays Show-Pro, Emmons, and Sho-Bud guitars and Mike Daily plays a Zumsteel-he played Emmons guitars for awhile too. Mike Daily, who plays steel with George Strait is from Texas.
