I just bought a KEMPER today, any tips on paid or free profiles for pedal steel and sites on learning the ins and outs of this thing.

Hey Doug. Get a Fender profile from Tone Junkie. They're cheap and probably the best on the market. I've also found adding a high and low shelf in the EQ section to be very helpful. I cut everything below 80 and cut everything above 10k. Mike Holder, a forum member has also created some great profiles for pedal steel.

Thanks for the replies! The 2 biggest questions I have now is how to organize the profiles so the ones I use are together and I don’t understand preformance, is that the same profile with different effects on each one or can I add 5 different profiles such as 1 for pedal steel, 1 for electric guitar, 1 for bass etc?

I bought used and it has some Michael Britt profiles on there that sound flat out amazing! Very happy so far as I tackle the learning curve!

Check out the Tone Junkie videos on Youtube. He has covered everything on the Kemper. I use performance mode for live playing so you can have a quick button for 5 different profiles. It's only really useful if you have the kemper stage or the controller for the toaster head.
