Thanks to this powerful forum I read about a man that moved from Modesto California to Chickasha Oklahoma (few years ago) to start a new Chapter of his building Pedal Steel Guitars. I living in Oklahoma could not wait until the sunrise this morning to try a number I found that connected me to Barry Thomas in Chickasha Oklahoma. What a nice and talented man that has the new and updated CNC machines needed to finally start production again on the Guitars he was sought after by many players Worldwide to build again and it has been a re-tooling situation with his last choice of needed machine headed to his factory in Oklahoma as we speak. This is big to me as a newbie interested in all styles PSG’s. I still can’t believe that this innovator is only about 40 miles from where I reside and was invited to visit his factory and see what goes on as he meticulously plans every cut the machines are programmed to finish the Thomas Pedal Steel Guitars. I will furnish Barry’s phone number to anyone interested in visiting with Barry as he approved me to do. He is going to build the New Thomas Pedal Steel Guitars one at a time just like always and has a large Factory packed full of computerized machines to do it with.
Respectfully

I’ve read reports over the last 25 years that Barry would be starting production again in Chickasha, but it’s not happened yet. I hope it does, but it would surprise me.
I have a D10 he built for me in 1997/1998. Not sure, but I think it was one of the last steels he built. It’s a great guitar—well designed, well built, beautiful lacquer finish, great tone, easy to play. It has served me well for a long time. |

No we are planning a drive down there when Barry says come
On. He is busy with other things and waiting on his new CNC machine to arrive from North Carolina. He wanted me to see the new CNC machine specially made(size wise for to build the PSG. If anybody wants his number pm me, he loves to talk to
Previous and new customers. I can rightfully say he is motivated in firing back up and has had to completely refurbish the large factory building to his specs. Great Gentleman!
