Weldon Myrick played steel on the RCA release...that is the only version I'm aware of...
Weldon's playing on the whole album is magnificent!

I am a large NB fan myself and I will say that Weldon Myrick doesn’t come close to the accolades that he should. Just my opinion.

I talked to Johnny about steel players, he absolutely loved the steel guitar, one of his favorites was Buddy Charlton who he told me I should hear, he was always very critical of Dick Overby for being too loud. |
