I just got a Nashville 1000 amp and at first I really liked it. It had the perfect tone and sounded great with the direct out. After playing it more I realized certain notes would buzz. I took the speaker apart and saw that the speaker coil was damaged. I replaced the speaker with an Eminence PF 15 and did not like it as much. I preferred the Black Widow speaker more. Even the direct out tone changed on the amp.

Does anyone know what is the closest sonically to the Black Widow 15 speaker that is currently available new?

Thanks

I wouldn't think the speaker would affect the direct out.

As far as speakers go, if you were happy with the original Black Widow 1501-4, I'd look for another one of those. Just be sure it's the SB short basket model for the best lows v. the DT which is the longer basket with less low end.

They come up here occasionally and I see them on Reverb and ebay from time to time also.
