Hey all, welcome to the Final Friday of cover tunes from the Fender 400 Beatle Band! Today, in fitting fashion, we'll highlight a song from John and another from Paul that appeared on "Abbey Road", the final Beatle album to be recorded.
First up is John's beloved "Because". Using Beethoven's "The Moonlight Sonata" for inspiration, John wrote this beautiful piece featuring 3 part harmonies from himself, Paul & George. Rearranging those harmonies for pedal steel was challenging but lots of fun at the same time!

Second is Paul's, "The End" which was originally planned as the final song on their final album (the "Let it Be" album was actually recorded before "Abbey Road" but released after). The plan was ruined when "Her Majesty" appeared after "The End" which was really a mistake by one of the Beatles engineers who tacked "Her Majesty" on to the end of the master tape. The Fender 400 Beatle Band version begins after the drum and guitar solo sections, highlighting the final Beatle lyric which will be forever associated with the band, "And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make..."
