John, the sitar bar is a (usually) 1" round bar with a flat about 1/4" wide down it. I'll take a picture of mine Monday.
Jean-Sebastien, Dunlop has quit making those, AFAIK.
Steve Gunder will mill a flat down his bars, probably for a small extra charge. I suspect he could do that before plating if you wanted a chromed bar, but his brass and stainless bars are excellent. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Lane,
This is also a sitar bar. Sold commercially as such. Actually works better than a round bar with a flat ground on it, but,,,,it's disadvantage is that it's ALWAYS a sitar bar, as it has no round surface to play with a normal sound.

I have a 7/8" Emmons sitar bar. It has Emmons stamped on the back end of the bar. Very good condition, round with a flat edge.
$50.00 shipped _________________ http://www.littleoprey.org/ |
