Peavey 6505 + 112 COMBO amplifier
Working on one of these. Have lower than normal filament voltage at the 12 AX 7s.
I'd like to get a set of DC voltages for this. Peavey has been non-respondent. They have a Forum.Peavey.com where I asked for DC voltages. A forum responder said the DC voltages are available on the schematic. Well no DC voltages are on the schematic I have except for a few I've written in.
There is supposed to be a good Peavey repair shop in Savage, MN. Has anyone used that shop? |

The DC heater supply should be putting out around 6.3VDC. The real problem is that you need to swap the 1N4003 diodes in the DC heater bridge with 1N5402 parts to handle the turn on surge. It's not a bad idea to swap the caps, as well. _________________ Thanks,

Thanks John, I'll be following up to change out the diodes. I've already changed all the electrolytic caps in the unit. |
