Hello! I've interacted with (and received good advice from) folks on this forum before and would like to call attention to a comprehensive instructional video I recently made for my product; The Chord and Scale Finder. It's an app I created in order to teach myself (and others) how to play 6 and 8 string (with benders) lap steel in C6th tuning. I condensed all the prior videos into one and broke it into chapters. Towards the end there are some advanced concepts (all accessible by chapter so you don't have to watch the whole thing if you're not so inclined). In particular I'd be interested in getting some feedback on the section devoted to copedants. I invented a modest meta language which lets users model copedants without having to modify their instruments and I'm curious as to whether it adds value to people who build and modify pedal steels. Thank you! š

The copedants section starts at 17:02 and can be directly accessed from the table of contents below the video. |

I downloaded the app tonight and have been playing with it, I have successfully added E9 to it and tomorrow I am going to try to get my pedals and knee levers added in. This looks very very promising. Thank you for creating this! |
