Anyone know how I can go about getting the MA9 setting on my Peterson tuner? It does not currently have it.

Hi Craig,
First thing to do is install the Peterson Connect extension for the Chrome browser on your PC or Mac:
https://www.petersontuners.com/connect
Then, connect your StroboPLUS HD to your computer with the included data-capable micro-USB cable and register the tuner here:
https://www.petersontuners.com/register
Once you're all registered and connected, visit our trading post page and install MA9 on your tuner via USB (scroll down and click on "Steel Guitar"):

John,I have two Strop.us HD tuners and love them. Here’s my problem. One was bought quite a while back, don’t remember from whom or date. The other was acquired in a trade with another steel guitarist, and it doesn’t have a serial number! How can I register them in order to download the MA9 sweetener? |

Thanks John. I will try that. As I understand it, the MA9 setting works for both the pedals up and pedals down position correct?

My 30 year old prp Mullen d-10 has always been a little give and take trying to tune it with it’s associated cabinet drop. So I updated the firmware on my Strobostomp HD and downloaded the MA9 tuning on it. I gotta say I was a little skeptical it would be any better than any of the other sweeteners I’ve used on Petersons over the years. WOW!! I am extremely impressed. My Mullen has NEVER sounded this in tune in the entire 30 years I’ve owned it. I didn’t think it was possible to sound this good. Thank you Micky and Jody. I will only use this sweetener from now on. Peterson tuners rock. |

This page, although old, is really helpful. I downloaded MA9. do I then just go through my open strings, pedals and levers one by one and tune them or are there additional settings I need to mess with on the tuner? |

Nope, just tune all open strings, then tune pedals and knees. No need to change or do anything else. |
