Saw on Facebook that Tommy passed yesterday. no other info. Tommy was Johnny Cash's younger brother.

I worked 7 Florida Winter tours (7 years) with him. Tommy liked Steel and although he did a lot of his brother's songs, he gave me breaks on a lot of them including Folsom Prison Blues. I did the Horn parts on Ring of Fire.

Here is a tour picture. Tommy, Bernie Waldon on Bass, Cal Akers on Lead, Jimmy Peppers on Drums and me on Steel.

RIP Tommy, That's great that Tommy liked steel, Jack.

Robby Turner in his Nashville Cats interview said that Johnny hated steel, or at least joked about it.

Great that you played with him!
