I’ve acquired a sierra 14 string in E7 and am interested in bringing it into factory tuning specs. I’m in need of:

2 rods for pedal 5
1 rod for pedal 8

Interested in any nylon parts.. especially the tuning bushing that sits in the bell crank!!

Please email or PM me, thank you!!

You should contact Jim Palenscar at Steel Guitars Of North County. In the past, he was the first-call guy for (old) Sierra parts. I don't know if he's still got the stuff.

Thank you for the reply, Jon. I’ve been in contact with Jim! He has been great to work with and I’ll likely be making a purchase with him in the near future. I wanted to put a line out on the forum as well because I’d love to have a modest amount of extra parts to be able to make quick fixes (especially the nylon).

Thanks for the recommendation!

Posting for future reference to save time for someone else.

After lots of looking around online and trying to measure carefully I’ve come to the conclusion that the only semi-simple thing to source are the 3/4” and 1” spacers. I thought maybe I could do some low-cost local sourcing for parts but after a thorough search it is so obvious that Jim is the guy for these Sierra parts! Even these seemingly simple parts are so complex.

Tuning Nut
Length 6/16
Small OD 6mm
Large OD 8mm
Shoulder 2.5mm
Bore: ??? Whatever receives 0.125 threaded at 44 TPI

Pull Rods (for some Sierra Steels…)
Diameter - 0.125
Thread - 44 TPI (ANF Fine)
Hex- 3/16”

Spacers
Outer Diameter (OD) 1/4 in
Inner Diameter (ID) #6 unthreaded
Lengths:
- 1”
- 3/4”
- 1/4” (additional #6 hole across)
