Many steel guitars have a decent amount of unutilized space inside them. Why not use it?

Yes there are several magnets involved. Originally the whole top of the neck came off like a lid, but the cabinet drop was too much. This iteration plays good and holds tune, but next time I want pull out drawers. That would be slick!
