PSC-100 Boss branded adapter unit. No substitutes. I already have a box full of those. Tech looking at one of my Boss units wants to try the actual Boss branded factory issued unit.
Roland/Boss literature shows to use PSB-1U for a discontinued PSC-100, so would probably accept that also.
We're having some issues with it's operation and want to see if it helps.
Yes, I've been to the online stores and found some but I'm not paying $30 or $40 for it.
If you have something you're not using at a reasonable price, lemme know. Thx.

The specs say the Boss unit delivers 1A output, a lot of "standard" wall warts won't make half that! A One Spot puts out 1.7A, so you might try one of those. |

Thanks, but we're already using a PowerAll multi-unit adapter. He just wants one of the original Boss units to try. |

Found. Close please.
FWIW, the proper Roland unit fixed the problem we were having with a Boss BR-900CD unit. I bought it used several years ago and the CD/Recording and related functions never worked right or at all in some cases.
I was using the PowerAll 1.7 ma adapter which I thought would be sufficient and has been for everything else but the Boss unit did not operate properly with it.
I've noticed before that some Roland/Boss products will not work properly with different or aftermarket power supplies. The warning Use Only Boss PSC-100 adapter with this unit was not hype...it was right on.
This probably applies to other brands and makes of electronic gear. Just a heads up if some of your gear doesn't work as intended, noisy etc. |
