Any suggestions or tips to hooking up a Boss RC-1 Loop Station to a NV 400?

Thanks!

As far as compatibility: The input/output levels of your amp and your Boss RC-1 are compatible with putting the Boss either before your amp input (which is before the preamp), or using the amp's Pre EQ Patch Out/In jacks (which come after the preamp.) Either way, use the Input/Output A jacks on the Boss, the B jacks are for stereo.

The other set of amp jacks on the back, Preamp Out/Power Amp In, have a level that's too hot for the Boss pedal. Putting it there won't damage the Boss or the amp, but will likely distort your signal.

I'll let others comment on what location would make the looper most useful or convenient.
